Tools required: Phillips screwdriver
The fuser is located at the rear of the printer. Be sure to let the fuser cool down for 15 minutes before removing. Always remove the mains cable before changing the fuser.
1. If a duplexer (for double sided printing) is fitted remove it by lifting slightly up and then pulling straight back until it is clear of the printer.
2. If a duplexer is not fitted, remove the left hand and right hand fuser screw covers by pulling from the bottom of each cover (Photo no.1).
3. Remove the rear cover/output tray (Photo no. 2), by locating a hinge pin on either side and gently prying it out from the black plastic fuser chassis.
4. Loosen the 2 captive screws in the fuser assembly (these are retained in the fuser assembly when loose). (Photo no. 3)
5. Pull the fuser assembly straight out of the printer.
6. Slide the new fuser into position and do up the 2 screws, replace the fuser screw covers (if fitted) and replace the duplexer (if fitted). Replace the rear cover/output tray.
