Fitting Instructions

Tools required: Small flat blade screwdriver           Phillips blade screwdriver

Maintenance Kit Contents: Fuser

                                       Tray 1 pick up roller     Tray 1 separation pad

                                       Tray 2 pick up roller     Tray 2 separation pad

REMOVING AND REFITTING THE FUSER

1. To remove the fuser first remove the right hand side panel (the panel with lights and buttons) and the rear panel as shown below::

2. Undo the 3 screws and 2 (3 on the LaserJet 2200)electrical connectors as shown below, then carefully pull the fuser from the printer.

FITTING NEW TRAY 1 PICK UP ROLLER AND SEPARATION PAD

1. Remove the right hand side and rear panels as shown above in fuser refitting instructions.

2. Remove the top (lid) panel and left hand side panel as shown below:

3. Remove the fold down paper tray in 2 stages as shown below

4. Remove the pick up roller and separation pad as shown below, being sure to note the positioning of the spring under the separation pad and the small locating pins on the pick up roller

FITTING NEW TRAY 2 PICKUP ROLLER AND SEPARATION PAD

1. Remove the paper drawer (tray 2) and turn the printer upside down to reveal the pick up roller.

2. Loosen the 2 axle retaining clips and remove the roller as shown below. When fitting the new roller note that the drive slots (visible in the photo on the left) in the end of the shaft are of 2 different sizes and must match up with the corresponding drive pins on the black shaft.

3. Remove the separation pad from the paper drawer (tray 2) by releasing the 4 retention clips as shown in the photo below and lift the pad assembly out of the tray. Note the position of the spring under the separation pad-this spring must be refitted correctly or paper jams will occur.
